Am I Talking to a Human or an AI? Verifying Identity in Voice Communication

As AI-driven voice cloning becomes more sophisticated, distinguishing between a real human voice and an AI-generated one is becoming increasingly challenging. Traditional deepfake detection methods rely on AI models that struggle to keep pace with generative technology. This talk explores a different solution: verifying human speech at the point of recording using a new microphone that captures the unique physiological signals generated by the body during speech production. By ensuring authenticity at the source, this technology allows the listener to verify that they are hearing a real human voice, establishing a reliable chain of trust.
