7-Step Plan

A guiding principle for the Centre’s research is Nothing About Us, Without Us: direct participation in the development of technologies and solutions by stakeholders. The 7-Step Plan for Achieving Impact is a supporting process to move fundamental research → impact.

PhD students and other researchers will be guided through this process for their projects:

  1. Inception
  2. Early explorations
  3. Painstorming
  4. Deep dive
  5. Transformative branching out
  6. Going global
  7. Moonshot

We ask domain experts and users to weigh in at all of these stages. This is one of the main roles of National Advisory Board members, their organizations, and their constituents.
